This policy describes what VibeLab (vibelab.in) collects, why, and what you can do about it. It reflects how the site actually works today. If something here is unclear, email vibelab.in@gmail.com.
The short version. You can browse VibeLab without an account and without being tracked. There is no advertising network and no third-party analytics on this site. If you create an account, we store what you give us and what you publish. You can ask us to delete all of it.
If you only browse: our host records standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and reliability. We do not build profiles from them and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers.
If you create an account: your email address, a display name, a username, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile information Google returns (name, email, profile photo URL). Optionally you may add a bio, a profile photo, a company, skills, and links to your own sites and social profiles. Everything on your public profile is visible to anyone.
What you publish: the projects, case studies, comments, reactions, marketplace listings and uploaded files you choose to post, along with the timestamps and the account they belong to. Public posts are public by design; some content can be made private or password-protected from its own settings.
Messages: direct messages between members are stored so they can be delivered and read later. They are not scanned for advertising. Staff can access message content only where necessary to investigate a report of abuse.
VibeLab uses browser storage only for things the site needs to function: keeping you signed in (an authentication token stored by Firebase Authentication), remembering interface preferences, and — if you unlock a password-protected item — a short-lived __session cookie that records only which item you unlocked. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.
We use a small number of infrastructure providers, each acting on our instructions:
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers. We disclose data only when you publish it yourself, when a provider above needs it to run the service, or where the law requires it.
VibeLab's Firebase services run in Google Cloud's us-central1 region, so data is processed in the United States regardless of where you are. Files backing published builds are stored on Cloudflare's network.
Account and published content are kept until you delete them or close your account. Deleting your account removes your profile and unpublishes your content; deleted uploads are held in recoverable storage for up to 30 days before permanent removal, so an accidental deletion can be undone. Server logs are kept on our providers' standard retention schedules.
To exercise any of these, email vibelab.in@gmail.com from the address on your account. Depending on where you live you may also have rights under laws such as the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, including the right to object to processing or to complain to your data protection authority.
VibeLab is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has an account here, tell us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes affecting your rights, notify account holders by email. Continuing to use VibeLab after a change means you accept the updated policy.
